Till König

I am Till Koenig, an immunobiologist with a strong focus on oncology. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in the Translational Neurooncology Group at the University Hospital Frankfurt. This exciting project represents a new challenge that I’m eager to tackle. During my Master’s degree in Immunobiology at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, where I specialized in 3D cancer cell models, I completed an exchange at North Carolina State University through the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship. My interest in immunology deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic, driving me to explore immune responses in both viral infections and cancer.
Prior to my Master’s, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Cologne, concentrating on Neuroscience and Genetics. My bachelor’s thesis, which involved developing a method for RNA extraction from FFPE tissue using Laser Capture Microdissection, sparked my passion for molecular biology and oncology.
My background includes research internships at Merck KGaA in oncology, pharmacology, and toxicology, where I developed strong lab skills.
I look forward to making meaningful contributions to oncology and immunology through my research.
